I know, I know, I promised you an update on my progress of the 17 day diet. Here's your update: I've lost 4.5kilo (around 10lbs). YAY! Here's the weird part: I didn't stick to the diet so much. Every once in a while, I ate things I shouldn't eat - like a little piece of chocolate, or some popcorn. The funniest thing I've realized is that I cannot stand pop (think: coke). It's too sweet and I don't like it!
Another thing I realized is that I beat myself up when I eat something I shouldn't. This diet is teaching me not to do that. I understand the consequences of last night's Belgian waffle but, at the same time, I also realize that I cannot live on egg whites and broccoli. Not even for 17 days. If the Belgian waffles are the worst thing I eat this week, fantastic - because I've done a lot worse in the past.
I've decided to repeat Cycle 1 for another 17 days in hopes that I'll lose another 4.5 kilo. Unfortunately, on my body, 10lbs. weight loss doesn't look like much. I'm hoping for another 15lbs. by the end of next week. Randomly, I've also been really sick lately and threw out my back last week so I need to take it easy at the gym.
Have any good recipes for me? I'd love to read 'em! My motivation is back in full swing (although this may be the pain killer talking...) and I'm ready for a new week!
