Tots and MeLots of Lovin' Weekend Blog Hop

Just as yesterday was kind of boring (who falls asleep at 9:40pm?? Oh yeah, pregnant women), today seems to be following in suit. I love Shabbat (the Sabbath)! I got up early (thanks to Sparky the dog) and decided that I'm going to get a head start on something AMAZING that I'm taking part in. Before I give away the details, I have a favor...

My niece, Paige, is part of the Royal Oak High School choir. She has a great voice and her choir is in trouble. Public schools all over the U.S. are having problems funding their arts programs and ROHS is no exception. The auditorium seats have been around since the 50's without being replaced. They have no sound tech and the school board refuses to help. You can help! GLEE is giving away $1million to schools in need and ROHS is DEFINITELY in need of some financial help. By clicking on the below link and hitting the "vote" button daily, you can help them. I'd be so grateful for your help and if you vote, please let me know that you voted (Paige gets extra credit for people who vote in her name).

Go ahead, click and vote daily: http://www.gleegiveanote.com/vote_details.php?id=287

Every vote counts!

The Event...
So, remember how I mentioned my gratefulness? Well, I'm taking part in a Day of Gratitude taking part in November before Thanksgiving. It's being hosted by my friend, Joanna, and I could totally use your help promoting this free event.

Every year, we focus our attention on decorations, food, and football during Thanksgiving. Shouldn't we be focusing on what we're THANKFUL for? That is the idea of the Day of Gratitude. Every hour, on the hour, for ten minutes people will have the opportunity to call in and share what they're grateful for... plus they can listen to others state the same. How cool is that?? I LOVE this idea because it's inspirational and can help with Tikkun Olam (healing the world... in Hebrew). I believe that everyone can help heal the world and the world will be a better place.

If you're interested in helping make this free event AMAZING and off the charts, please submit your name to the linky below.

Giveaway...
As my way of saying "THANKS!", two lucky winners will get a surprise gift-pack filled with goodies from the Holy Land. It's open WORLDWIDE and all you need to do is sign up to help (and actually help promote this day) in order to be entered. I will announce the two lucky winners on Thanksgiving. You can enter until 11/14/2011!

Mandatory Entry: Signing up to help with the Day of Gratitude
Extra Entry (+1 per day): Tweet "I entered the Day of Gratitude giveaway from @Hilly293 & I'm promoting the "Day" from @SoulfulCoaching. Help out & enter: http://ow.ly/7cQLw"

Paige's mom, Hill's sister, here! Thanks so much for voting guys! It really means a lot! In case you're wondering, Paige is the one in the middle, front row, with black hair and glasses.

voted. I was thinking the other day as much as I hate to cook I sure am grateful for a stove instead of cooking over an open fire outside.
It is the little things and common occurring luxuries we forget to be grateful for sometimes.
