Florida Dreamin'

When Craig and I were first toying around with the idea of moving home, I really wanted to go to an amazing grad school. I found a few that peaked my interest but none of them were really "the one". When we started talking about moving home, my dad recommended we move to Florida because that's where the jobs were. He told me that Michigan didn't have much to offer - except family. In reality, why else would we move home from Israel? We wanted to be by family.

Still, we took his advice and I started looking through Sothebys Fort Lauderdale listings. The words "Hellloooooo Gorgeous" came to mind while looking at these homes. Seriously. They are MAGNIFICENT! Some of them are waaaay out of our budget range (like the $25million priced homes) but others were still relatively do-able for Ft. Lauderdale! Still, Florida is a bit of a dream for us (until we strike it rich or retire). With my parents living in Boynton Beach and my grandfather's winter home in Tamarac, it would have been cool to be around them during the winter but what could be more fun than watching Yoav play in the snow?!? Probably watching Sparky attempt to swim in a swimming pool.

Still, one day I'd like a home in Florida. It's a nice place to be when the weather is cold and you want to get away. Plus, it's still where all the jobs are.
