Anyway, my index finger is nicely bandaged and also nicely infected. Gross.
On top of everything else, today is my 1 year wedding anniversary. When did the year pass by?
We got some of our congratulatory gifts when we were back home in Detroit but one thing I did not expect to take home was the bottle of Prefense foaming hand sanitizer.
We got hooked up with it a few months back (this review is waaaay overdue... sorry!) and my Mom was supposed to test it out. Her #1 complaint? She never knew if it was actually working.
Here's the thing... we've been so conditioned to equating the sting of alcohol to a sanitizer actually working that when Prefense left no sting or sticky residue, my Mom was convinced it didn't work.
This is where I came in. I tried it out for a few weeks and... I LOVE IT! As a Bath and Body Works former employee, I can tell you that I HATE alcohol-based germ killers that sting my hands and then make them feel dry. I also can't stand the anti-bacterial lotions. They leave a residue that I am not fond of.
Prefense leaves no residue. No stickiness. No stinging.
The only thing it leaves is soft hands that are protected.
I'm a germaphobe and now that I'm pregnant, I worry about germs even more. I can put one pump of Prefense on my hands and it'll stay active through the whole day or through 10 hand washes.

I'm a former operating room nurse, so doing dishes is my nightmare!
I have to have the water boiling hot, like hands are red after coming out of the water. I organize my dishes in the order of clean (water glasses), clean-contaminated (silverware), contaminated (plates and bowls), and dirty (pots and pans). I change the water out between each dirty level, and scrub the sink with Bon Ami before and after I do dishes.
So yeah, Marmot does dishes now because it takes me too long. lol
