Halloween Memories: A Lesson

Remember back in the day (like our 20's) when we used to plan our Halloween costumes out about a month in advance? I remember one year being a sexy leprechaun. Another year I was a Zombie surgeon. Other amazing costumes involved a sexy devil, the chic from the Mod Squad, and a cheerleader (when I was MUCH thinner).

One year, I had a boyfriend that was a doctor. We planned to go as a doctor-nurse duo. OK but not the sexy doctor-nurse duo, more like the realistic version that you see on Grey's Anatomy. At the time, my boyfriend was kind of cheap - he was looking for a discounted medical uniform. I was just looking for something "realistic" looking. Our biggest fight came around Halloween because of his cheap-ness. He didn't want to shell out for a new lab coat and nice new scrubs - it had to be something discount. We broke up a few days before Halloween and I went to a friend's house dressed as sassy IDF soldier.

Moral of the story: being cheap isn't always a good thing. When your pride starts getting in the way and you become too stubborn because you MUST be cheap - things are going to go down hill.
